    Owner and Founder of Atithi Studios

    Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resident Sukanta Nag is a senior-level technology executive with over 20 years of experience in technology management and leadership. He has led complex technology and innovation initiatives in human resource services globally. He has dedicated his career to developing solutions that support the growth of his employers and their multinational clients. He provides vision, direction, and strategy to foster innovation, commercialize creativity, and transform digital experiences. He has shown leadership in the global technology, HCM, and workforce ecosystem throughout his career, benefiting diverse internal and external stakeholders.

     

    Most recently, he was the Chief Technology & Information Officer at OneTen Coalition. He established and executed the technology vision, product strategy, product development roadmap, and central technology function. His efforts facilitated transformative workforce development solutions aimed at changing the lives of millions of under-employed Black talent within ten years. Under his leadership, OneTen launched "Career Marketplace," a smart technology platform that identifies skills and experience, providing access to training and upskilling, career support, and navigation services. Career Marketplace connects candidates to family-sustaining career opportunities with OneTen coalition partners. 

     

    Before this role, Sukanta Nag was the Chief Information Officer of Corporate Human Resources at Prudential Financial. He led the implementation and rollout of a new HR digital employee experience ecosystem powered by Workday Human Capital Management Solution to a global workforce. Before joining Prudential in 2016, he led the Innovation Organization for the Human Capital Services Capability group at Xerox. He managed a balanced innovation portfolio, developed and executed a high-impact innovation strategy and roadmap, and aligned them with Human Capital Services' strategic business priorities. His professional background includes global operations, innovation, IT consulting, process management, technology solutions development, and digital transformation.

     

    In 2021, he founded Atithi Studios, a creative maker's space in Pittsburgh that includes artist co-working studios and a gallery exhibit hall. Atithi's mission is to build a happier community through engagement with the arts. This initiative creates economic opportunities for artists and their local communities. The space provides a welcoming environment for artists to thrive and for the community to unite, share, and be inspired. He uses insights from his corporate leadership experience to support creatives looking to accelerate their practice through mentorship and opportunities that leverage business development strategies to add capabilities, create community connections, increase brand awareness, and amplify their impact.

     

    Sukanta Nag is an immigrant who came to the US as an international undergrad student at Slippery Rock University and later made Pittsburgh, PA, his home. He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with an Executive MBA. He enjoys traveling, getting to know local people and cultures, and reading, and he is a food and wine enthusiast. His diverse interests and hobbies contribute to his well-rounded perspective and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
